Well,
we have purchased a new home in Lebanon Twsp., NJ It is
now a summer house. Maybe some day we will move there.
The house is made of
natural stone exterior (and some interior) walls. It is currently of
undetermined age, having apparently been constructed of the bones or another
dwelling. The stone basement and some of the stone walls appear quite old,
while parts of the house date from the 1940's. The garage was made into a
great room, and the family room added from the courtyard sometime in the 1970's.

We have added a 2400 square foot metal building to house our toys.
Pictures below in the photo gallery are from mid 2004 through Spring 2005,
with the latest pictures first.

We will renovate the bathrooms and change some windows. And the plate
glass has got to go. However, the home has lots of charm, especially all
of the exposed stone.

Lebanon is a somewhat more rural community, with larger lot sizes. Our
3 acres in North Caldwell
makes us one of the largest lots in town. Average lot size is well under
an acre. The 5.7 acres we purchased is just average for lot size in
Lebanon. So trading our unused acre in North Caldwell for five acres and a
house in Lebanon--- seemed like a good idea at the time. But lots of
additional work too!
Plenty
of room to store the RV, and
park the Deuce, plus a nice pool, and lots of grass to mow. House is
presently a small 3 bedroom ranch house with a great room made out of the
formerly detached 2 car garage. It has a nice pool. And flat ground,
almost all cleared and grassed.

And it has a giant radio tower from a former owner's amateur radio setup, with a
big beam and rotor on the top to play with. Guess Fred has a new ready -made hobby.
